It has been a hectic couple of months. Starts and stops, good news- bad news, and perfect weather for walking on the sunny side of the street.
Stay safe my friends and see you all soon- on the flip side of The Day of the Dead.
A few oldies but goodies to put you in Spook-tacular Spirits-
Enjoy the ride, you all!

I have 2 other blogs out there in Cyber-space and they have never stayed up to date.
I try not to beat myself up for it , but it does weigh on my conscience- not posting in weeks.
Please know I think of this blog often and am continuously doodling thoughts and comments to post. Reality sets in and blogging is usually my last thought of the day /and or week.
I have been busy with a few projects that leave me little time for sketch and or writing these days.
Only time will tell if these projects turn a profit or not.
Until next time you all-
Hopefully, I spy a big bag of cash when these projects are complete. xoxo -sheree
August is always a little bittersweet for me. Only a few more weeks of summer to go and what to do about it? For me it's painting. I've had some exciting things happen ion my desk this Summer and I believe this fall will offer a few more interesting invites. So August "let's get this party started.
Here are a few of the projects I have been working on-
It's a dreary Monday in my neighborhood, I hope the Sun is shining in yours. Friday can never come to fast!
Have a great one you all, xoxo sheree
When the 4th of July appears on the calendar this is my signal to get busy with Summer. You know walks on the beach. Waiting for the moon to appear on those long slow evenings. Cooking outside or inside? Any or all of the above for me.
So off I go looking for the ideal summer stay-cation. Well maybe tomorrow, because there's some work started at Medusa's Emporium and it does need to be completed.
I have been working on sketches for my next "Dream " portrait. The painting on the easel is the start of the background and the image of the girl has been laid in (although not in this photo). So far so good.
I have also been asked to participate in a project that is very exciting for me. Stay tuned- I am still getting the news together.
I will be chasing my Summer dreams the next few weeks and not sure how much time I will have to check in here...but I will when I have news about town.
Stay Calm and carry on with the Best possible Summer you could ever have. I'm giving it my best shot!

Last week was a crazy week. I had time in the studio, but also had some outside meetings with things that just plain needed to get done. So much to do so little time...
I am just about complete with My Venetian Dream painting. At this stage of the game I live with the painting a bit to let her tell me what is missing. I see a few slight finishing touches but overall I am pleased with the outcome of this 15" high x 30" long acrylic on canvas.
I also had a lovely meeting with a woman from a local business which inspired this fashion illustration. I am hoping more girls in the beach theme pop in for a visit. This girly was fun to complete.
She will be available in my Etsy shop-hopefully later this week.

Well folks lots to do this foggy Tuesday so onward and upward...have a great week you all!
Not sure about you all, but May has flown by in my neighborhood.
I have started a couple of projects this months and I am sure that they will take me into June and possibly beyond.
I started an Angel series this month and hope to draw Seven Of the High Archangels. Research has been fascinating as I read, paint, and listen for inspiration.
Here are a few images of the start-
The second project I finally started was an acrylic paint on canvas piece. It measures approximately 16x36 inches in size. I have been working on the sketch for a few weeks and finally felt ready to start the painting phase.
The background and girl went down relatively quickly, I was pleasantly surprised. My original inspiration included an elaborated mask on the painted face of a girl. As I drew in the mask I had the feeling this painting was going to take another direction. I have decided to take some time and look at the painting from a few different angles. The black markings are charcoal. When I left the gallery last night I washed them all off and will take a fresh look at my girl today when I walk into the space. Fresh eye possible fresh idea.
And so it goes ...hurry up and wait- see you all in June folks!
May is shaping up to be a hurry up and wait month. Lot's of illustrating going on, but nothing seems complete.
This week was about the bridal season that usually happens in June. So far some nice things were turned out on the table, I hoping a shining star will emerge in the next few days.
Also this week I am trying VERY hard to work larger. The last sketch is approximately 16x20 inches. usually I work my fashion figure in the 9x12 or 11x14 inch range. I'll let you know how that works out.
Later you all
